A landmark for over 100 years in Manchester, Connecticut, Highland Park Market’s story began in 1886 when William White opened its doors. From its inception, White worked to supply his customers a carefully selected stock of dry and fancy goods. 1958 is when the Devanney family took its hold on the traditions of Highland Park Market when Jack Devanney bought the small market. Since then, his son Tim has taken over as President and Highland Park Market has opened 5 other stores, expanded its original site and has become a supermarket not only recognized for its ability to supply its customers with quality products but also for providing superior customer service to all of its visitors.
From the beginning we have worked tremendously hard at immersing ourselves into the community and providing support to local organizations and charities, a tradition that has extended to each of the locations we have been welcomed into. Being part of the communities we inhabit fills us with an immense amount of pride in being a Connecticut based business and many of our ideals and traditions stem from that very concept. We provide hundreds of Connecticut brand products that are found in every one of our departments. From the finest Connecticut grown produce and floral items that are practically picked from your own backyards to a wide selection of gourmet grocery, bakery, deli and meat items, we have stocked our departments with labels from the very place we call home.
Come into this Connecticut grown company and see why our customers say, “Nobody does it better than Highland Park!”
